Photos: California’s Massive Park Continues to Grow

A huge wildfire — one of the largest in state history — is currently raging in northern California. In the last five days, the Park Fire has spread to more than 360,000 hectares, and is only 12 percent contained, according to Cal Fire. Dry conditions and strong, gusty winds have fueled the rapid growth of the blaze, which is said to have been caused by a man pushing a burning car into a ravine in the city of Chico. Thousands of people have been forced to evacuate, and more than 100 structures have been destroyed so far.
